Doar nu credeati ca au facut astia injectoare diferite pt 316d, 318d, 320d, 325d, 330d si 335d [in cazul E90, de exemplu]. Edited February 27, 2013 by kristal_madness.

I kept my ecu/ brain from the 318d but now with the 320d engine in place i have no turbo pressure, allot of black smoke and the car almost hass no power. Do i need to program the ecu?
Back - to - back drive from my mother's F30 318d (N47, base) to my G20 320d (M sport): - engine refinement and sound insulation; - fit/finish - steering - ZF8 is a bit more intelligent - adaptive LED is more homogeneous than bi-xenon - F30 MSport has better seats than G20 MSport.
High-mileage drivers will be best off with a diesel, and again there’s plenty of choice – including the 318d, 320d, 330d and M340d. The first three are 2.0-litre options, with power outputs of 148bhp, 187bhp and 282bhp respectively, while the M340d delivers 335bhp from its punchy 3.0-litre unit.
Interestingly, in Europe the 3-series with this engine is called the 320d, BMW plans to offer a new six-cylinder diesel in the 5-series at about the same time. That one will have 255
The reason I am asking this is my 320d [177bhp] has snapped its timing chains at 125,000 miles [after suspected high pressure fuel pump failure] I have a low mileage [18,000 mile] 318d [143bhp] engine, and I was hoping to use this as a replacement. Depending on the differences, I was hoping to fit the 318d engine to the turbo, injection system

With 141bhp and an impressive 221lb ft, the baby Three is hardly lacking in oomph. And it mostly feels that way too. Just like its 175bhp big brother 320d, this engine is a bit thrummy under

It's probably the same basic mechanical setup, but a similar question abut the turbo and/or boost levels as I posited above. For the 316i vs. 320i ED, I've checked using Stevie750i's realOEM site
